saving data on sas server

Hello,
I've been wondering for a while if there is any way to save data on sas server (if there is such thing).
For example, lets say im marking certain area to download the data from / marking a point on the map that I want to save. Does the info of my request and the details go into sas server (and if it happens, can I save data there?) Or my request go straight to the map server im downloading data from (for example; google maps).

Your request goes straight to the map server you're downloading data from.
