Can't Get Google Earth working.

Hi guys, I love this software but have the same issue a lot of people are having with Google Earth Satellite imagery.

I need to be able to access Google Earth Satellite and the historical versions. Google Maps is no good as it's imagery is dated.

After many many attempts to get it working, It fails for me and I'm unsure why.

I've followed the steps in this thread...

My issue is with dbCache.dat, is doesn't exist with my GE installation : Google Earth Pro 7.1.2.2041.

I've used the nightly build, followed all the steps (as best as I can due to broken translation), but hitting a dead end as my cache folder contains a "unified_cache_leveldb_leveldb2" folder full of .sst files.

I'm assuming this is why it won't work.

Can anyone suggest what I might need to do to get this working ? Has the workflow changed ? Is there something I'm missing ?

Someone on that thread said he got it working but hasn't said how he did it.

EDIT : I'm assuming the tile reader needs to know what it's looking at

Do I just need an updated version of : TileStorage_GE ?

I've looked here but there's nothing later than TileStorage_GE_1.0.0.9.7z

I just tried it with SAS Nightly from here...

and using Google Earth 6.0.0.1735 which creates the correct dbcache file...still no luck.

Any pointers would be much appreciated , I'll keep at it

1. Download latest stable release: http://sasgis.org/download/ (141212)
2. In options set path to GoogleEarth cache - folder that contain dbCache.dat (for GE6) or unified_cache_leveldb_leveldb2 (for GE7)
3. Use SASPlanet when GoogleEarth is closed

You may use Nightly builds from hire: http://sasgis.ORG/programs/sasplanet/nightly.php but in this case you need add libge to this build.

Nightly build with libge works a treat, AND I have all the historical images, Currently using it with GE 6 and nightly SAS.Planet.Nightly.150323.8591, I'll try GE 7 later.

Guess i was reading to much old information and links.
