How To Start It Going?

I have downloaded it.
I have unzipped it.
I have run the .exe file.
SAS.Planet is running.

I have selected satellite google maps.

I see australia.

I try to zoom in. I cannot zoom in. Pixellated.

I try different maps, whatever I can think of to do. Nothing changes.

I download a maps package and unzip it. Nothing changes.
I don't know how to put the unzipped maps into SAS.Planet.

I am stuck.

Can anyone help? Please?

what version of SASPlant do you download?
do you set source = cahce + internet?
what versiob of set in your option of google map (Ctrl-Alt-P)?

Source = Internet + cache, yes.

Ctrl+Alt+P = 692

If you want to update maps,
1. download main and, if you wish, extended map sets from here:
https://bitbucket.org/sas_team/sas.maps/get/tip.zip
https://bitbucket.org/sas_team/sas.plus ... et/tip.zip
2. close SASPlanet
3. go to folder Maps in your SASPlanet folder
4. delete old folders
5. unzip downloaded archives here
6. for your convenience you may rename main set as sas.maps and extended set as sas.plus.maps (or any other name)
7. start SASPlanet


If you wish to update maps regularly (recommended) it is more convenient to install Mercurial (TortoiseHg).
After that you can just run Update.cmd and UpdatePlus.cmd

the third one goes to a page about 'google maps engine' and says it is discontinued.

I don't what it is that I'm changing to version 818. Sasplanet itself? Or something else?

No, no, this link shows just one number in the last post: 818. That's the current version.
Go to SASPlanet, select Google Sat (G), Settings - Map Settings (Ctrl-Alt-P), change version to 818, enjoy.
